Islamic Holidays 2026

Eid al-Fitr (approximate late March 2026), Eid al-Adha (approximate early June 2026). Sierra Leone is approximately 75% Muslim. Most businesses close on Eid days.

Christmas and New Year

Christmas is enthusiastically celebrated. Hotels fill with diaspora returnees in December — book well in advance for December travel.
